FAMILY MATTERS
Today, many families are complex, often with children from more than one marriage/relationship to take into account. Legal Aid is available subject to status for Family Law Matters.

DIVORCE
In order to obtain a Divorce, you must show to the Court that your Marriage has “irretrievably broken down.” This is proved if you can show one or more of the following;
1. That your Spouse has committed Adultery.
2. Your Spouse’s behaviour is such that you cannot reasonably be expected to live with them.
3. Your Spouse left you two years ago without good reason and refused to return.
4. You have been separated from your Spouse for two years and they agree to a Divorce.
5. You have been separated from your Spouse for five years.
CHILDREN
In all Legal Matters involving children, the Welfare of the Child comes before anything else. Whether there are difficulties agreeing contact and visits with your ex-Partner, or the Local Authority are involved with your Family we have expertise to help.
